Happy month of June. We are looking forward to this month full of great events in our neighborhood and community, including our Neighborhood Picnic. We’d also like to share with you our new website: Collister.org. City of Boise and Ada County are gathering information about possible improvements in our area. See below for more information on all this and more.

Collister Neighborhood Picnic
This year is the 19th Annual Collister Neighborhood Picnic! Saturday June 22nd from 5 – 8 pm at Catalpa Park, 4516 W Catalpa Drive next to Collister Elementary School. It’s going to be a great event! Don’t miss out:
Food Trucks! Scotty’s Hot Dogs, Tacos y Tortas El Paco, and Churro Bros
Kids Activities! Three-legged and sack races, a 4H small animal feeding “zoo”, Edwards’ Earthworms kids activities and plant sale.
Wonderful raffle and silent auction items and more!
We still need a few more donations for the raffle and picnic expenses. Contact email@example.com if you’d like to help make this the best Collister community picnic ever!
Saturday, June 15, 8 am- 3 pm: The Annual Neighborhood Sycamore Stroll (yard sales throughout the Sycamore Neighborhood). This annual community yard sale is posted on Nextdoor Neighborhood and hosted by local residents. Please encourage drivers to slow down and watch carefully for pedestrians and cyclists and respect neighbors not participating (e.g. please don’t park in their driveways).
One of the Collister Neighborhood Association’s projects this year has been to put together an updated website for our neighborhood. This will be the place to go for the most updated news, announcements, and neighborhood information. Take a look: Collister.org

Proposed State Street Urban Renewal District Eligibility
On Monday, June 3, the Boise City Council reviewed the Proposed State Street Urban Renewal District Eligibility Report. The Eligibility Report establishes the basis for subsequent work and, if adopted by City Council, authorizes CCDC and the City to advance to next steps, will include an economic feasibility study and the drafting of an urban renewal plan. The next step of this plan will be seeking public feedback starting later this month. Here is a link to the plan: Proposed State Street Urban Renewal District – Eligibility Report. We encourage our residents to learn about this study and participate in the comment opportunities when they are announced. We will update our website and newsletters as more information becomes available.
